Following the respected and time honored tradition of NMIMS in the field of management education. Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce was established in 2007. In last 12 years, school has grown from under-graduate management education to post-graduate management education. The greatest benefits that the school gets is the support of the parent trust i.e. SVKM who are in forefront of providing quality education for more than 80 years. School currently offers: 3 years full time under-graduate program: BBAB.Com. (Hons.)B.Sc. Finance 2 years full time post-graduate programs:   M.Sc. Finance was launched in 2017 MMS will commence from 2018 as a part of the dual degree program for students completing BBA program from NMIMS ASM SOC. Each programme is uniquely designed with a specific purpose, leading to either post graduate in MBA, MMS or professional courses like CA, CFA or PG program in Finance, M.Sc. Finance or MBA in Finance. A strong finance base is created at UG level, especially in the course of B.Com (Hons.) and B.Sc. Finance programme. BBA offers various courses which allow the students to specialize in the final year either in Finance or Marketing domain, so that they can pursue MBA or any other professional program. It offers 6 courses in Finance, 3 courses in Marketing and 2 courses in HR, which are compulsory. Students can specialize either in Finance or Marketing with 5 additional courses of their preferred domain in the final year. B.Com (Hons.) gives full flavor of Accounts, Auditing, Taxation, Business & Corporate Law and Economics. B.Com (Hons.) have 5 papers of Advance Accounting in addition to Cost Accounting, Corporate Finance, Financial Statement Analysis and Management Accounting. 2 courses on Direct & Indirect Tax, 2 courses on Auditing, 2 Courses in Law including Corporate Law. The program leads towards professional programs like CA or CIMA. B.Sc. Finance program is developed to train the students in finance domain and give them an analytical view. The program leads towards CFA, M.Sc. Finance or MBA in Finance. Some of the courses offered which are unique to this program like Debt Markets, Business Valuation, 2 courses in Corporate Finance, Alternate Investment Markets, Derivatives, Econometrics, Forex and Financial Risk Management, GIPS and Financial Reporting. Each program has been uniquely positioned to achieve a specific need of Industry. M.Sc. Finance To give an understanding of operation in Capital Market, Bond Market, Equity Market and Derivative Marketing & financial Assets. Understand global financial environment, to estimate cost of capital, risk profile of firm through financial analysis, to understand and apply financial concepts and tools. Holistic education with effective communication team work with collaborative projects. Obtain advanced knowledge in specific areas of finance either Capital Market or Risk Management. Technical expertise in the application of financial information technology. Using resources outside the textbook to engage in discussion of multipurpose topics of finance. Providing quality management professionals with strong technical skill with acumen for managing business.
