"Netrajyot eye hospital is situated on National Highway surrounded by New Panvel, Old Panvel, CIDCO colonies, 4 industrial zones and many villages, Population of Raigad District is 16 lakhs approx. out of which two lakh are adivasis, & 6 lakhs below poverty line. Basic medical treatment is provided by health centres. Hence the need of Eye Hospital is very essential. This hospital will cater the needs of poor and needy patients of slums and rural areas of entire Raigad district, southern past of Thane district, APMC Market, steel yard, developing township of Nerul, Kharghar, Juinagar, Belapur, Khapoli to Panvel & deeper part of Maharashtra. Our country has over crore without vision, many due to ingnorance and illiteracy. Most of the blind due to poverty, in fact 85% of the blind can have their eye sight restored if facilities were available at minimum costs or none at all. It is the main aim of the trust to provide eye care free to poor and adivasis and to prevent blindness sight, after all too precious to be denied, especially in cases where it is treatable but unable to get treatment because of financial constraint. With this noble intention Dr. M.D. Rana & Mrs. K.M. Rana charitable Trust has undertaken this unique project. Help us to fight against those who are on verge of loosing vision. "
