The seed for Aakash Educational Society was first shown by Mr.Rajkumar J. Yadav with 60 students to give shape to his dreams of transforming the society by equipping every child with education. Now the strength has reached to 1800 students. The goal was to provide an opportunity for good quality education for each and every child who secure less percentage and to create a platform to nurture their talents and provide them with opportunities to learn, develop and transform into a all-rounded individual. Providing quality education for every single child is the only way of achieving developmental goals, as development can begin only with education.Aakash Educational Society is one such initiative that aims to provide quality education and equal opportunities to the children from any caste and religion and deserving student but financially weak section of the society. Aakash Educational Society strongly believes that, it can eliminate social evils and uplift the society only through education. Through this educational institution, it reachs out to children who passed their S.S.C and have a strong urge to take ahead Education and provide them with opportunities to not only complete their education but also transform into confident, and competent and socially responsible individuals. Shailendra Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1994 with the launch of Commerce faculty. The Arts faculty was started in the year 1996. The college began with the primary objective of providing education to the lower socio-economic strata of the society who are very often the first generation learners. To increase the employability of the students the college launched self-finance courses from 2004 onwards. Under the self-finance courses BBI, BMS and B.Sc. (IT) courses are offered. The college has been sanctioned Research Centre in the Subject of Business Economics under the faculty of Commerce The College has undergone NAAC reaccreditation process in November 2011 and has been awarded B grade with CGPA of 2.92.

Shankar Narayan College of Arts and Commerce was established in 1994 with a vision to provide Higher and Professional Education in the vicinity of Mira-Bhayandar. The college is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognised under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act and accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade in 2017. The college provides a stimulating, safe and supportive environment, in which students aim for success. The college started with 47 students and over the years, College has grown both quantitatively and qualitatively having around 7000+ student - strength. Presently college runs B.Com, B.A. degree courses and Professional Courses like Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Banking and Insurance (BBI), Bachelor in Accounting and Finance (BAF), B. Sc. I. T. and also started B.Sc. Computer Science, Bachelor in Financial Market(BFM).PG Degree Course in Information Technology (M.Sc.I.T.) has also been started which is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. The college has started specialised Post Graduation Course – MMS (Master in Management Studies) in the name of Rohidas Patil Institute of Management Studies. The trust has also established Pravin Patil College of Diploma Engineering & Technology to cater the need of technical education in Mira-Bhayander area.Although the Trust has established educational institutions to cater for the needs of the society, the members of the trust felt that they should also setup a new institute to help students to choose right careers and prepare for appearing at the various competitive examinations held in the country by UPSC, MPSC, Railways, Banks and such other bodies. They realised that no such institute existed between Bandra and Dahanu in the Western suburbs and our institution could fill this gap. A decision was therefore taken by the trustees to establish Pramila Institute of Administrative Careers with competent faculty, office staff and infrastructure from 2010 – 11.Quality and excellence is the aim of the institution. The college makes sincere efforts towards empowerment of students by providing innovative teaching and learning facility.The comprehensive and value based education has been the benchmark achieved by the entire stakeholders of the institution. Within a short span of 18 years, the college has achieved prominent position in the coastal region by maintaining high teaching standards and by achieving outstanding results in academics, cultural and sports field both at the State and National level.
