The Management of the college – Uttar Bharatiya Sangh, a Hindi Linguistic Minority Institution was established on 15th December 1949 by Hindi Speaking Community as a Charitable Organisation in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region under the Society Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. The founding fathers of the Uttar Bharatiya Sangh were concerned about the noble needs of the community and decided to share the responsibility by setting up cultural and educational institutions which could uphold the science of knowledge. This 65 years old non-profit organization started its activities with the motto 'Organisation is Strength' and offered dedicated service to the society in the field of culture, education and overall growth of youth population in our country. Initially their activities centered around philanthropy, cultural activities, health check-up camps, blood donation drives, relief work during natural disasters and financial assistance to needy students towards their education and health. Gradually their focus shifted to organizational capacity building through education, which motivated them to establish first a primary school known as Hindi Bal Vidya Mandir in 1978 followed by a secondary school in 1984 at Asalpha in Ghatkopar. In order to promote culture, an auditorium was built by the President Shri RN Singh in the memory of his father late Shri Babu Satyanarayan Singh, which was inaugurated in 2000. Maintaining the same pace of commitment, a Degree College, affiliated to the University of Mumbai was established during the academic year 2003 – 04 in the memory of late Shri Mahendra Pratap Sharada Prasad Singh. The very next year a Jr. College named UBS Junior College of Science and Commerce (Maharashtra State HSC Board) was established in 2004 - 05. The journey which started in 1949 continues with future plans to set up Vocational Training Institute, Sports Academy, Guest House etc. to empower the nation. Shailendra Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1994 with the launch of Commerce faculty. The Arts faculty was started in the year 1996. The college began with the primary objective of providing education to the lower socio-economic strata of the society who are very often the first generation learners. To increase the employability of the students the college launched self-finance courses from 2004 onwards. Under the self-finance courses BBI, BMS and B.Sc. (IT) courses are offered. The college has been sanctioned Research Centre in the Subject of Business Economics under the faculty of Commerce The College has undergone NAAC reaccreditation process in November 2011 and has been awarded B grade with CGPA of 2.92.

Shankar Narayan College of Arts and Commerce was established in 1994 with a vision to provide Higher and Professional Education in the vicinity of Mira-Bhayandar. The college is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognised under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act and accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade in 2017. The college provides a stimulating, safe and supportive environment, in which students aim for success. The college started with 47 students and over the years, College has grown both quantitatively and qualitatively having around 7000+ student - strength. Presently college runs B.Com, B.A. degree courses and Professional Courses like Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Banking and Insurance (BBI), Bachelor in Accounting and Finance (BAF), B. Sc. I. T. and also started B.Sc. Computer Science, Bachelor in Financial Market(BFM).PG Degree Course in Information Technology (M.Sc.I.T.) has also been started which is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. The college has started specialised Post Graduation Course – MMS (Master in Management Studies) in the name of Rohidas Patil Institute of Management Studies. The trust has also established Pravin Patil College of Diploma Engineering & Technology to cater the need of technical education in Mira-Bhayander area.Although the Trust has established educational institutions to cater for the needs of the society, the members of the trust felt that they should also setup a new institute to help students to choose right careers and prepare for appearing at the various competitive examinations held in the country by UPSC, MPSC, Railways, Banks and such other bodies. They realised that no such institute existed between Bandra and Dahanu in the Western suburbs and our institution could fill this gap. A decision was therefore taken by the trustees to establish Pramila Institute of Administrative Careers with competent faculty, office staff and infrastructure from 2010 – 11.Quality and excellence is the aim of the institution.
