Shri Chinai College was established in 1963 in the memory of Shri MathuradasVissanji, Sheth Laherchand Uttamchand Jhaveri and Shri Jivanlal Chinai by their descendant Shri PratapSingh Vissanji, Shri Pratap Bhogilal and Shri Rasiklal Chinai with the aim to provide quality and value besed education to the students in suburbs. Shri M.C Chagla, Union Minister for Education graced the ceremonial inauguration and the first term commenced in June 1963 with affiliation to the University of Mumbai. The College was originally set up by Laxmi Education Society and managed till 2006-2007;Laxmi Charitable Trust has taken over the managementfrom 2007-2008. Various Graduate Courses of University of Mumbai are offered viz. B.Com. from the inception ; New Degree Courses Bachelor of Management Studies(B.M.S) from 2000-2001, B.Com; Banking & Insurance(B & I), B.Com : Accounts & Finance ( A & F ) form 2004-2005, B.Com : Financial Market Market(F.M) from 2008-2009. Chinai College is accredited with B++Grade by NAAC and housed in a spacious building with extensive open ground.It is located at close proximity to Andheri(East) Railway Station & BEST Bus Depot

Aakash is the culmination of a strong belief that enlightening minds and empowering them is the only way for battling and eliminating social evils and uplifting the society. The seed for Aakash Educational Society was first shown by Mr.Rajkumar J. Yadav with 60 students to give shape to his dreams of transforming the society by equipping every child with education. Now the strength has reached to 1800 students. The goal was to provide an opportunity for good quality education for each and every child who secure less percentage and to create a platform to nurture their talents and provide them with opportunities to learn, develop and transform into a all-rounded individual. Providing quality education for every single child is the only way of achieving developmental goals, as development can begin only with education.Aakash Educational Society is one such initiative that aims to provide quality education and equal opportunities to the children from any caste and religion and deserving student but financially weak section of the society. Aakash Educational Society strongly believes that, it can eliminate social evils and uplift the society only through education. Under its Aegis, the society runs the Valia College of Commerce and Arts which offers various programmes at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Over the Years Valia College has grown in strength to achieve a distinctive reputation. Malini Kishor Sanghvi College of Commerce and Economics commenced in 1994 under the auspices of Ritambhara Vishva Vidyapeeth and is currently headed by our able President Shri Ashwinbhai Mehta, Chairperson Padma Bhushan Smt. Poornimaben Pakvasa, and Managing Trustee Shri Kishorbhai Sanghvi. It received magnanimous donations from renowned and leading businessmen and patrons Shri Kishorbhai Sanghvi, Late Shri Mafatlal Mehta, and support from our Ex-President Late Shri Dipchandbhai Gradi, Bar at Law, a reputed Philanthropist and our Ex-Managing Trustee Late Shri Haribhai Dresswala, a prominent businessman. Ritambhara Vishva Vidyapeeth has received Gujarati linguistic minority status and the college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, on a permanent non-grant basis. Malini Kishor Sanghvi Degree and Junior College and M.Com (Management) has student strength of more than 5000. In the 21 years of its journey the college has not only grown immensely in student strength but has also diversified and added a repertoire of new course. This trust acquired 12,000 sq. meters land in J.V.P.D Scheme, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai. Today it is teeming with educational activities with a reputed English medium R.N. Shah High School (Established in 1990 with liberal donations from Shri Pravinbhai R. Shah in memory of his father) with current student strength of about 1800). Malini Kishor Sanghvi Junior College and Malini Kishor Sanghvi College of Commerce & Economics (Degree). From a modest beginning with 37 students, in 1994 the Degree College today has more than 3000 students with B.Com and M.Com (Management) and six Specialized Courses – BMS, BAF, BBI, BMM, BFM & B.Sc (IT). The college is running an Add-on course in Tax Procedure & Practice (Certificate, Diploma & Advance Diploma). With the building for management institute, fast progressing, MMS and other additional courses will commence in the near future.
